This explains what we collect when you book a cleaning, why we collect it, who can see it, and how to get rid of it. Plain English, no lawyer required.

Who we are
Menifee Maids is a family-owned, veteran-owned residential and commercial cleaning business operating in western Riverside County, California. If you need to reach us about anything on this page:
- Phone or text: 951-464-8147
- Email: inquiry.menifeemaids@
outlook.com - Website: www.menifeemaids.com
What we collect
We only collect what we need in order to show up at the right house at the right time and bill you correctly. That means:
- Your name, and a business name if you're booking commercial work.
- Your mobile number and email address, so we can confirm the appointment and reach you on the day.
- The service address, including any access notes you choose to give us — gate codes, pets, parking, where the key is.
- Details of the job: number of bedrooms and bathrooms, how often you want us, add-ons, and the dates and time windows you picked.
- Photos of completed work, if you agreed to them at booking.
- Payment records — the amount, the date, and whether it was settled. See "Payments" below for what we deliberately don't hold.
We do not ask for, and have no use for, your date of birth, Social Security number, or any government ID.
What we do with it
We use your information to schedule and carry out the cleaning, to send you booking confirmations, reminders and completion reports, to invoice you, and to keep the business records that state and federal law require us to keep.
We do not sell your personal information. We never have and we won't. We don't share it with advertisers, data brokers, or lead-generation companies, and we don't use it to build advertising profiles.
Text messages
There are two kinds of text message you might get from us, and they work differently.
Messages we send by hand
When we confirm your booking, tell you we're on our way, or answer a question, that text comes from a real person on a real phone (951-464-8147). It's an ordinary text message conversation. Reply to it however you like, or tell us to stop and we'll stop.
Automated messages
If you ticked the box at booking, we may send you automated messages about your own appointment — a confirmation, a reminder the day before, and an "on our way" notice. That's it. We do not send marketing texts, promotions, or newsletters by SMS.
- Message frequency varies, and depends on how often you book. A typical single cleaning generates no more than three messages.
- Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile plan.
- Reply STOP to any automated message to opt out. Reply HELP for help, or call us on 951-464-8147.
- Consent to receive texts is not a condition of purchase. You can decline and still book exactly the same cleaning at exactly the same price — we'll use email and phone calls instead.
- Opting out of texts does not cancel your appointment. You'll still get email confirmations and reminders.
Mobile information is never shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. No mobile information is sold. The only parties that ever handle your number are the service providers who deliver the message on our behalf, and they are contractually barred from using it for anything else.
We keep a record of when you gave consent and how, because the mobile carriers require us to be able to show it.
Emails
We email booking confirmations, appointment reminders, completion reports and invoices. These are transactional — they relate to a job you asked us to do. If we ever start sending anything promotional, it will have an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing will never stop the transactional messages about your actual appointment.
Photos
Our cleaners may photograph completed work so we can send you a report showing what was done. You choose whether to allow this when you book, and you can change your mind at any time by telling us.
Two things worth knowing:
- Location data is stripped before the photo leaves the phone. Phones embed GPS coordinates in every picture. Our app re-encodes each image on the device before uploading, which removes that data. Your home's coordinates never reach our storage.
- Photos are never published without your written permission. They go in your job record, and they are used to show you the work. If we ever want to put one on our website or social media, we will ask you first, in writing, every time.
Payments
When you pay online, you're sent to Stripe, a payment processor. Your card details are entered on Stripe's systems and go to Stripe, not to us. We never see, receive, or store your full card number. What we keep is the amount, the date, and a reference number so we can match the payment to your job. Stripe's own privacy policy governs what they do with your card data.
If you pay by cash or check, we record the amount and the date, nothing more.
Who else can see your information
Access is limited to the people and services that genuinely need it:
- The owner and assigned cleaning staff, who need your address and access notes in order to do the job. Staff sign in with their own individual accounts, and access is removed the day someone stops working with us.
- Microsoft Azure, which hosts the website and stores the data. The data is held in the United States.
- Stripe, for card payments, as described above.
- Message delivery providers, who transmit our emails and automated texts and may not use your details for anything else.
We may also disclose information where the law requires it — a subpoena, a court order, or a legal obligation we can't lawfully refuse.
How long we keep it
Completed job records, including their photos and payment history, are automatically deleted 90 days after the job closes. Before deletion, a summarized record is archived so we can meet tax and business record-keeping requirements — California and the IRS both expect several years of financial records.
The archive holds job numbers, dates, amounts and customer names. It does not retain access notes or photos.
Your rights in California
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended, you have the right to:
- Know what personal information we hold about you and where it came from.
- Delete it, subject to records we're legally required to keep.
- Correct anything inaccurate.
- Opt out of sale or sharing. We don't sell or share personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of — but the right exists and we're telling you about it.
- Not be discriminated against for exercising any of these. Your price and service don't change because you asked us to delete something.

Security
The site runs over HTTPS everywhere. The staff dashboard is behind Microsoft sign-in with multi-factor authentication, and each staff member has their own account. Photos are stored in private cloud storage that is not publicly readable, and are only accessible through short-lived links that expire within minutes.
No system is perfectly secure, and we won't pretend otherwise. If a breach affects your information, we will notify you as California law requires.
Children
This is a service for adults arranging cleaning for their home or business. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we'll delete it.
Cookies and tracking
We don't use advertising cookies, and there are no third-party trackers on this site. The booking form stores your progress in your own browser so you don't lose a half-filled form if you navigate away. That stays on your device.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we'll update the date at the top. If the change is significant — a new category of data, or a new party we share with — we'll tell customers directly rather than relying on you to re-read this page.
